Cefn Lodge Rated ‘Good’ Across the Board by Care Inspectorate Wales

We’re proud to share that Cefn Lodge in Skewen has been rated ‘Good’ across all sections in its first inspection under the new Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) ratings framework.

For families, an inspection rating is one of the clearest, most independent signs that a home is being run well — that people are safe, well cared for, and treated with dignity every day. Achieving ‘Good’ across the board is a result the whole team can be proud of.

It means a great deal because of where Cefn Lodge started. When the home joined the BIRA family it was struggling, and turning it around took real commitment. Under the leadership of manager Natalie Jenkins, the team has transformed the home environment, lifted morale, and — most importantly — raised the quality of care for every resident.
